Dress Code
The anniversary does not have a specific dress code. For the excursion and the RONDO Games we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the weather. Our recommendations:
Shoes
Choose comfortable sports shoes or running shoes that will allow you to cover some distance. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes, as open-toe shoes are not suitable for hiking and riding an e-bike.
Clothing
Wear comfortable clothing as you will be engaged in physical activities on both days. Depending on the weather, you may want to bring a lightweight jacket or a long-sleeved shirt.
Accessories
Check the weather forecast and bring sunglasses, a sun hat, and sunscreen if necessary.
Backpack & Water
We recommend bringing a backpack and a water bottle for Friday's excursion. Handbags are not suitable for hiking or riding an e-bike.
Please check the weather forecast before your arrival and bring appropriate clothing for colder weather or rain as a precaution. It is always advisable to be prepared for unforeseen weather conditions to ensure your comfort during the event.

Where we go on Friday
Brienz
The activities on Friday take place in and around the homely village of Brienz. The village is surrounded by a charming mountain landscape at the eastern end of Lake Brienz in the Bernese Oberland. It is known as the "carving village" because of its long tradition in woodworking. With the School of Woodcarving and the School of Violinmaking, Brienz is home to two special educational institutions of world renown.

Situation plan
RONDO Village
A short walk takes you from the RONDO Headquarters to the RONDO Village. The whole route will be signposted from the bus car park. You do not need to print out the route description.
Icons
You will receive a badge with different icons. One of them reveals the activity you will participate in on Friday.

Reichenbach Waterfall
The thundering waters of the Reichenbach Waterfall showed the way for the engineers as they lay the tracks for the funicular in 1899. The ride up in the nostalic wooden wagon will take you up to the base of this impressive 120m high waterfall. Wonderful views of the waterfall and the Hasli valley await you from the viewing platform. From here you can also see the place where Sherlock Holmes and his arch enemy Moriarty did battle which ended with both falling to their deaths.

Ballenberg by bus
The Open-Air Museum Ballenberg takes you on a fascinating journey through time. Discover Swiss culture and customs. Visit over 100 original, centuries-old Swiss houses and farms and experience how people used to live and work.

Sherlock Holmes Museum
It is a stroke of luck that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930) had his main character Sherlock Holmes fall to his death at the Reichenbach Falls! The fascination with the English master detective remains as strong as ever and people still follow in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes here today! The authentic and world’s only reproduction of the parlour of the house at Baker Street 221b can be found in the centre of Meiringen in the English Church. The exhibition gets under your skin!

Trauffer
To the carving knives, ready, go! Would you like to learn how to carve the iconic Trauffer wooden cow yourself? Attach the horns, ears and bell and even paint on the funny spots yourself?
